Becoming a Community Scientist, How You Can Help Bees and Other Pollinators (Wooster Science Cafe)

Wednesday, October 14th, 7-8pm: Denise Ellsworth from The Ohio State University will help us understand the local bee species and how we can contribute to scientific knowledge about these species in a talk entitled “Becoming a Community Scientist (& a Better Naturalist): How You Can Help Bees and Other Pollinators”. Denise will help us explore the role of community science in bee (and other pollinator) conservation. We’ll delve into The Ohio Bee Atlas on iNaturalist, discussing how this platform can help us to improve ID skills and get enthused about the natural world. Denise will also share a smorgasbord of other community science projects just waiting for your input!

Denise encourages you to check out these resources: Ohio Bee Atlas, iNaturalist; The Great Sunflower Project; and Bumble Bee Watch
