    The 11th annual CFAES Back 2 School Bash will be held on Thursday, September 1st from 4:00-7:00 pm this year.  All CFAES students, faculty and staff are invited to attend for free. Registration will be located nearby the CABS bus stop on Woody Hayes Drive (look for the balloons) and other activities, tents, entertainment and games will be located throughout CFAES from the Fyffe Road turnaround to Coffey Road areas.

    We will be hosting our 6th annual Graduate and Professional Student Involvement and Resource Fair on Monday, August 29, 2022 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM.  The Grad/Prof Involvement and Resource Fair will take place in person on at the Ohio Union on the second floor in the Archie M. Griffin Ballroom. The Grad/Prof Involvement and Resource Fair is an opportunity to showcase your organization, services or opportunities to the graduate and professional student population at Ohio State or to attend and gain information.

    OUAB Grad/Prof invites all graduate and professional students to join us for an annual picnic during the first week of classes. Enjoy free food, games, and more!

    Join fellow incoming graduate students for orientation at the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences! There will be refreshments available on site with locations in Columbus and Wooster (zoom link also available). This event is for students incoming to the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences graduate programs during fall 2022. Registration is required.

This seminar will discuss how to build a resume, what skills to leave off, trends and changes in resume writing, and what common resume mistakes to avoid.     At some point, most everyone will need to interview for an internship, job, fellowship, or other opportunity. Interviews can be stressful, especially if you do not have much experience doing so. In this session, we will discuss valuable interviewing techniques for those applying to jobs both inside and outside of academia. We will host events every other Friday morning from 9:00-12:00pm on Columbus and Wooster campuses beginning on September 17. These events are geared towards graduate students, postdocs, or others who may be working on longer writing projects such as manuscripts, dissertations, or thesis work.

    It is incredibly important that scientists communicate their research in ways that the general public can understand. In this session, we will discuss tips on how to communicate your work to non-scientists as well as how to write a clear and concise project narrative. This session will be helpful for students submitting to the IGP Graduate Competition.
