    Are you an incoming or returning graduate or professional student looking to get invovled? Join the Ohio Union Activities Board for our annual Graduate and Professional Studnet Involvement and Resource Fair. Come out to learn about all of the services, programs and opportunities for grad/prof students in one place on Monday, August 28th in the Archie Griffin Ballroom on the 2nd floor of the Ohio Union.  More than 80 university departments, Columbus institutions, and student organizations will be represented. Drop in anytime between 4 - 7 pm.

    OUAB Grad/Prof invites all graduate and professional students to join us for our annual Welcome Week picnic!  Drop in and grab food, listen to music, play some yard games, and take some photos with friends new and old on Friday, August 25th, at the Faculty Club from 4 to 7 PM! This event is FREE for all graudate and professional students -- just bring your BuckID and up to one guest!

    We will explore the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center a preeminent cultural learning center for inclusive freedom. After lunch, we will drive north to Jungle Jim’s International Market, where over 200,000 square feet of shopping and products from over 70 countries awaits!     Pronouns are tools for effective and efficient communication, and their intentional or unintentional misuse can cause confusion and harm. Using gender-affirming pronouns and avoiding unnecessary use of other gendered words is essential to creating spaces that are safe, inviting, and inclusive of people of all genders.

    Join the Office of Knowledge Enterprise for a workshop on Wednesday, Feb. 15 that will guide you through the strategy, steps and storytelling in the development of your ideal elevator speech so that you can bring your research passion to life for any audience. The workshop will run from 10 – 11:30 a.m. via Zoom. Participants will have the opportunity to craft their own elevator speech and workshop it with fellow participants for feedback and refinement to make drafts stronger and give others ideas on how to recraft their own elevator speech storytelling.     Learning when and how to say ‘no’ can be a difficult task. What are boundaries? How do you have healthy, productive conversations about boundaries with your supervisor and other faculty members? Join us for this 90 minute workshop about setting boundaries as a graduate student. The presenters will work with our attendees to practice having conversations about setting healthy boundaries. We will also share university resources that can help you to succeed. Presentation will be via Zoom.
