Courtney Price began working at OSU in October of 2015 as the Education and Outreach Specialist for the Center for Applied Plant Sciences and the Arabidopsis Biological Resource Center. She also serves as the program coordinator for the Translational Plant Sciences Graduate Program. She received her BS in Wildlife Biology from Ohio University, and her MA in Zoology from Miami University. Throughout her education, she traveled to Brazil, Trinidad, Belize, Kenya and Thailand to study biology, community-based conservation and education. Professionally, she has focused on promoting science through informal education, science communication, and engaging people in conservation and sustainability practices. She has worked as an educator since 2002, facilitating programs for individuals ranging in age from preschool through adulthood. She is a member of the National Alliance for Broader Impacts, National Network of Climate Change Interpretation, the Portal to the Public Network, and the Environmental Professionals Network.
