Biography:

A native of rural southwest Ohio, Taylor earned his BA in creative writing and Russian literature in 2011 at Miami University, where he also met his future wife. He then moved to Columbus to continue his study of Russian literature in graduate school at The Ohio State University, where he discovered his love of working with students while serving as a Graduate Teaching Associate. Having earned his Master of Arts in Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures in 2013, he eventually returned to the university in a professional capacity in 2014, where he worked with the admissions and orientation offices. He and his wife married in October 2015 in Hohenschwangau, Germany, on a picturesquely foggy autumn day, and joined the SENR not long after in May 2016.
